Convention 2008

holiday innOur eighth annual convention returned to the Holiday Inn, just outside Gloucester. The event and venue was enjoyed by everybody involved last year and so we again moved away from the London airports and the M25 to the Cotswolds and the west country.

The two day event was held in the Sheridan Suite of the Holiday Inn between Gloucester and Cheltenham. Read more about the hotel

On Saturday wehad a program of presentations and interactive club events and the day end with a hot buffet in the evening.

john bailey, guest speakerGuest speaker this year was John Bailey who describes himself as being "well seasoned" in all aspects of the fragrance business. He willwithout doubt develop this term at some time during the weekend. John has had a long and fascinating career in the perfume industry before founding his own creative and consultancy enterprise - the Perfumers Guild - in 1991.

Sunday was, as usual, a table top sale with 15 specialist member/dealers offering thousands of bottles for sale.

The Holiday Inn is a modern, stylish hotel just off the M5 motorway and between Gloucester and Cheltenham. We agreed good rates for bedrooms for the weekend.

The Cotswolds, Gloucester and Cheltenham are full of historic, beautiful and interesting places to visit. See Attractions for some ideas.
