About the IPBA
The International Perfume Bottle Association
The IPBA is a not for profit, all-volunteer organisation of perfume bottle
enthusiasts dedicated to collecting rare, beautiful and unusual
scent containers, and to researching and preserving the history
of perfume bottles and related items, the fragrance industry, and
bottle designers, artists and manufacturers.
Collectors have wide-ranging interests: deluxe miniatures; factice
(display) bottles; classic bottles that held scents no longer in
production; novelties; the rarest art glass of the 18th, 19th, and
20th centuries; bottles by Lalique and Baccarat; pomanders; perfume
jewelry; and advertising.

The UK Chapter is currently the only non-USA Chapter (branch).
The first Chair and founder of the Chapter was Jan Burke who formed the group
in response to many requests from UK members of the IPBA who felt somewhat
isolated in what seemed a lonely hobby.
The Board of the IPBA approved the formation of the Chapter and the UK Chapter got together for the first time in March 2001 at an inaugural meeting held near Gatwick.
